Arabia Johnson was stuck. She had broken up with her partner, had nowhere to live, and her warehouse job was wrecking her health. With money running out, she knew she needed a change. So, she made a call for help.
“I just wrote him an email,” Arabia recalls. “I literally told him, ‘Hey, my name is Arabia. I am going through a lot of things. Times are tough and I’m running out of money. I need help. I’ll do whatever you want me to do. Please, please help me.’”
You might assume that Arabia reached out to a social worker, a therapist, or even a family member to get some guidance or support, but that was not the case. The person who answered Arabia’s call for help was a stock trader named Jerremy Alexander Newsome.
In truth, Jerremy is much more than a stock trader. He is the CEO of Real Life Trading, an organization that instructs and mentors anyone who is ready to find freedom through trading — and freedom was exactly what Arabia was looking for. In Jerremy, she found someone who could show her how to achieve it.
“I had watched countless webinars after work at the warehouse trying to find someone who could teach me about trading,” Arabia says. “With most of them, I would fall asleep and learn nothing. Jerremy kept me awake. When I found him, I said, ‘Yes. This is the guy that I need to be learning from.’”
Real Life Trading offers free online courses through its website on beginner, intermediate, and advanced trading, day trading, and futures trading. Arabia had already gone through all of the free courses before reaching out to Jeremy. The next step was to do some one-on-one coaching with him.
“He explained that he offered coaching for $600 an hour,” Arabia remembers. “I literally had $600.50 in my account. I pulled it all and gave it to him.”
Toward the end of the coaching session, Jerremy asked Arabia if she wanted to schedule another appointment, to which she replied that she was out of money. So, Jerremy gave her a month’s worth of homework and told her to get in touch with him once she was done. Two weeks later, she had completed the work.
“I blew him away with my hustle and my drive,” Arabia says. “He said he needed to figure out a way that we could keep working together. Basically, we have been working together ever since.”
Today, Arabia is a mentor for Real Life Trading, helping others who are looking to find freedom through trading. In her new role, she has learned that not all investors are as quick to trust the trading process as she was. She understands how they feel, but believes that learning the right way to trade and having the support of a community is the solution to overcoming one’s fears.
“If you are nervous about trading the stock market because you think it is gambling, or see it as risky, or because you work really hard for your money and you are not willing to just watch it disappear, then Real Life Trading is where you need to be,” Arabia says. “These guys are going to take care of you and teach you how to take care of your own account.”
Real Life Trading has definitely taken care of Arabia. She says the skills she learned transformed her from a person who was simply going through the motions to someone who is truly living.
“The mission here at Real Life Trading is to enrich lives,” Arabia explains. “That really sets us apart from other companies. Most trading companies are money-focused. Our mission is not to enrich wallets; it’s to enrich lives. When you enter the community at Real Life Trading, you might come for the trading, but you are going to get so much more. The people here become a force for positive change in your life. It’s an incredible thing. It’s very powerful.”
Looking back, Arabia realizes that she was not truly stuck; she just needed someone to show her the way forward. She needed someone who could give her something to look forward to.
“If you think you’re stuck, I guarantee you that you aren’t,” Arabia says. “There’s always a way forward. We just have to find it. I now have something to look forward to everyday. Trading has given me freedom. And honestly, anyone can do it.”
