There is a negative undertone that goes along when somebody mentions the word ‘drugs.’ While drug is a term generally referring to medicines or prescriptions taken to alleviate medical conditions, the prevailing popular misconception is that drugs harm its user. People often come across news on the radio, newspaper, or television, ranging from petty to the most heinous crimes committed by people under the influence of prohibited drugs. The innumerable number of reports linking substance abuse and crime, presupposes drugs as harm to the user and the surrounding people.

Cannabis Now is a publication that battles the misconceptions about marijuana. They publish articles about its benefits with the belief that a change of popular psyche should go together with the advancements of cannabis research.

With cutting edge technology, scientists conclusively listed drugs that have medicinal properties. Cannabis, popularly known as marijuana, is a drug extracted from the cannabis plant. Over the years, scientists studied the benefits of cannabis and found out exceptional results. Marijuana can cure chronic pains, improve lung capacity, help treat depression, and many more.

For ten years, Cannabis Now continues to release articles about cannabis legislation, horticultural advancements, and the recent developments of medical marijuana. The bi-monthly magazine features these kinds of news intending to erase fallacies about medicinal drugs because of the aversion towards prohibited ones. By educating the public and humanizing the stories relating to its use, people will understand why many subscribe to medical marijuana.

Through tireless efforts of the alternative media, scientists, progressive minds, and education of the public about cannabis, many U.S. states have now legalized the use of medical and recreational marijuana. With countries like Michigan, Nevada, Colorado, California, and Washington, D.C. vouching legislation to permit its use, it will not be long before others follow suit.

In 2013, Cannabis Now became the first cannabis publication accepted into the Apple App Store. Both Apple and Androids users can access their digital issues in ease. With the world suddenly moving the exchange of information online, it is their initiative to turn digital and widen the scope of their audience.

The publication also releases news about political happenings, social change, and economic trends. Cannabis Now wants to be at the helm of providing accurate news and developing stories that readers will enjoy and find informative. By holding principles that keep the publication operating, it allowed them to become the 2nd largest cannabis magazine publication in the world.

The issues get distributed in Hudson News, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million, Kroger, dispensaries, head shops, smoke shops, bookstores, and many other outlets across the country. They are the only cannabis magazine permitted by national airports to sell their issues. The widespread distribution allows Cannabis Now to reach CBD, hemp and cannabis lovers, and even potential investors.

In 2019, they opened a Cannabis Now CBD retail store at the Beverly Connection in Los Angeles. The wellness store is a one-stop-shop for individuals who want to enjoy cannabis products. However, during the recent protests in L.A., the store was nabbed after a break-in. Unidentified individuals looted, vandalized the store and damaged properties. The management is doing an online fundraising to ask people to donate any amount so that they can repair the store that once served as a haven for customers seeking recreation and relief.
