Some people are born with silver spoons in their mouths and are handed every available opportunity to succeed. Then there are some who are not as lucky. They have to work with what they’ve got to overcome obstacles, and strive for success every day. David Verity is one of the latter, and he’s proud to say that his success is born out of difficulty, and overcoming the odds.
David Verity is a successful CEO, author, certified personal development coach, consultant, marketing strategist, award-winning songwriter, record producer, and entrepreneur. And for him, what people usually think of success is usually just a fraction of what it really is. David’s journey to success was not a smooth sailing one, and it took a lot of strength for him to come up on top despite life pushing him down.
David grew up in an unfavorable home environment. They were poor and lived on the bad side of town, where there were no sidewalks and where fences were tagged by gang members. His parents then got divorced, and he moved to a better side of the town, but he also had to live with an abusive stepfather. Although he was a straight-A honor student, he was eventually kicked out of school due to a sleep disorder that caused him to be consistently late to school. This forced him into home studies, and that’s when he developed his love for music.
By the time he turned 16 years old, he was already the number 1 R&B artist on MP3.com and was writing, producing, and selling albums all over the world. When he was 17, he was the number 1 artist on Farmclub, which Interscope Records’ Jimmy Iovine started. As a result, film crews from MTV showed up to his house to document his involvement in the MTV USA network joint venture, Farmclub. His involvement in music eventually led to him having to choose between his graduation ceremony or performing live at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, for Eat’m (Emerging Artists and Technology in Music). Of course, he chose the latter and had his diploma sent by mail.
Though things were looking up for him, he had to eventually stop making music after encountering trouble in his family life. Due to his sister’s battle with addiction, CPS threatened to take his sister’s children away and separate them. So he and his mother decided to take custody of his sister’s children.
After the children grew up and moved out, David decided to begin the work he was always meant to do: helping others. David has touched and impacted many people’s lives, and in the process, he accomplished more than he could have imagined. He won multiple international songwriting awards in various genres and worked alongside Grammy-nominated and Grammy award-winning musicians like Toby Gad and Marvin Moore. David’s publishing company, Anomaly Music Group, also signed two major label deals with two of the biggest electronics and media companies in the world.
David’s uiltimate goal however, is to contribute to the world and make it a better place. He wants to share all that he’s learned and help others achieve their dreams and realize their true potential. This is what pushed him to form his marketing and consultancy business, Trinhoval Business Strategies, where he helps business owners with their own success. The business features digital marketing solutions, web design, SEO services, audio production for film and television, social media marketing, and reputation management.
Through Trinhoval Business Strategies, David hopes to close the marketing gap between small businesses and high-level corporations via proprietary technology, allowing local businesses to achieve the same level of quality branding as national brands.
With David’s story of perseverance in the face of adversity, he is the best person to talk about success.
