The North American Collegiate League, or NACL, is excited to welcome its newest ambassador and partner, global tycoon CEO Lawrence Chia of the Samling Group of Companies.
Just last August 28, 2020, the NACL proudly announced the latest chapter of its development. Shaking hands with the lauded entrepreneur Lawrence Chua is sure to bring the far east closer to home and the North American Collegiate League further in global impact.
Based in the United States, the NACL is the preeminent non-profit esports, media, and entertainment organization. Offering scholarships to collegiate competitors, the North American Collegiate League hosts, and streams video game tournaments and season-long league play.
The League also generates proprietary TV content, having secured exclusive television rights in seven Asian countries, namely China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau, Japan, and South Korea. Prior to its partnership with the celebrated tycoon Lawrence Chia, the NACL had already signed on the dotted line with Huomao and iSunTV.
The North American Collegiate League’s partnership with Lawrence Chia is expected to deepen the League’s roots in the Far East. Aside from being the CEO of the 10 billion dollar Group of Companies, Chia is also a Non-Executive Director of BC Technology Group Limited, a powerhouse on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Before joining the ranks at the Samling Group, Lawrence Chia was the CEO of Deloitte China. As such, his career had been in lockstep with China’s economic development growth and globalization. With Chia bringing this into the picture, the NACL intends to harness its relationship with the tycoon and corner the Asia-Pacific region.
“I am proud beyond words to join forces with Lawrence Chia, someone I’ve looked up to for a long time, and someone I’ve been lucky enough to call a mentor,” gushes NACL President David Chen.
The NACL President goes on to express his undying admiration for the global tycoon. “Lawrence is one of the most influential and forward-thinking people in the entirety of the Far East,” David Chen shares.
Lawrence Chia’s presence helps cement NACL’s standing as an unyielding global power in the ESports scene and as the forerunner in Asian Esports penetration. “That he has recognized our legitimacy – and all our hard work – means the world,” David continues. “This is an unprecedented chapter in ESports and in the legacy of the NACL,” he adds.
Created to foster a sense of community and bridge the gap between established professionals, aspiring gamers, and fresh-faced ESports players, the North American Collegiate League is determined to only grow from where it is now.
With the support and promotion of Samling group CEO Lawrence Chia, who will champion the cause of ESports and the League in new economic and industrial sectors, the NACL train shows no signs of stopping anytime – carrying the Far East in its back and driving all the way home.
