When Eric Eremita appeared for almost 80 episodes on HGTV’s Love It or List It, a reality television series featuring homeowners who go through significant property renovations to decide whether to “love it” or to “list it,” he captured the hearts of global fans. Now they are demanding to know where he is. For over five years, Love It or List It scored it’s Best Ratings, gaining over 17 million viewers, and Eric’s captivating personality undeniably contributed to the show’s success.
“Hey HGTV, where is Eric Eremita now?” is the prevailing question. As fans crave more appearances from the celebrity contractor, HGTV should indeed brace and prepare answers.
Before becoming a fan-favorite celebrity contractor, Eric Eremita appeared on another one of HGTV’s hit shows called Brother vs. Brother, which features brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott who compete against each other to see who would come up with better renovations. Eric was one of Drew’s best contractors, quickly making him a crucial talent for the show. Although Eric did not win the competition in Brother vs. Brother, the exposure he gained from the show paved the way for many other opportunities in the entertainment industry. Hence, he ended up as the one and only general contractor for Love It or List It.
Eric Eremita played an essential role as the contractor and main foil of Hilary Farr’s Team Love It, “What a winning combination” “Why would you mess with perfection?” exclaims fans! But we happen to agree. Eric has the entire package! Undeniable skills, a great personality and let’s not forget he is very easy on the eyes! Speaking of eyes did you ever see his beautiful blue eyes!
The celebrity contractor renovated homes that were and are still showcased to millions of audiences worldwide, which quickly escalated his career in show business. But when the show’s fifteenth season aired, fans quickly noticed that Eric was no longer part of the crew, creating quite the buzz and leaving HGTV responsible for answering a roster of questions from viewers across the globe.
Eric Eremita is known for his mastery of merging luxury and artistry in his interior and exterior designs. He has won many awards and gained recognition for his craft. From the late ’90s into the the new millennium, the contractor has won accolades for his craftsmanship, custom home building, renovations, and interior and exterior design.
His absence was intensely felt, and fans weren’t shy of expressing their dismay. “Talk about a major disappointment,” “The show hasn’t been the same since,” “Eric needs his own show,” “We miss him so much” “The best thing that ever happened to HGTV.” These are just some of the statements released by fans.
In an interview, we got Eric Eremita to talk about what currently keeps him busy. After dedicating five years of his life to Love It or List It, the celebrity contractor was signed by BUCHWALD, one of the largest talent agencies in Hollywood. Eric also shared that he has written several television shows, is in the middle of an upcoming book, and aims to become a upcoming producer and director. Furthermore, Eric Eremita is going to be launching a passion project that he created called HOME-BOYS, where he mentors his younger apprentice by the name of Conrad Layton in home renovation and interior design.
But we know Eric wouldn’t be stopping there. We asked him what else was on his list for film and television and he replied that a dream come true would be to work with a fellow New Yorker and one of his all time favorite actor, director, producer and screenwriter John Favreau.
And would love to try out his singing skills on “The Masked Singer.”
In addition, Eric Eremita also launched his fashion brand called Thirteen by Eric Eremita, which quickly made the buzz in the fashion industry after being showcased at New York Fashion Week. The brand promotes PEACE, UNITY, LOVE & FASHION and boasts a line of throwback denim couture jackets, shirts, hoodies, caps, and more. “Our designs cater to men, women and children,” the designer said. “We will also be including a couture line with one-of-a-kind pieces made just for you, so stick around. There are a lot of exciting things going behind the scenes,” Eric added.
Eric Eremita has faced many challenges since entering the entertainment industry. He has sacrificed a lot, including selling his contracting & design business, being away from his family and surviving Covid-19 (Spending 16 days on a ventilator). He is extremely grateful for where he is and what “Love It or List It” has done to his life. “It’s been a wild ride. I never expected in my lifetime that I would be changing careers, indirectly,” shared Eric.
HGTV better have some answers ready at hand because fans are not ready to permanently say goodbye to their favorite celebrity contractor & designer just yet. But without a doubt, the world will definitely be seeing more of Eric Eremita. Be on the lookout for him hosting, producing and directing his very own show and shows for others coming down the line. If it’s not HGTV (What a Loss) Who knows what network he might wind up on… So stay tuned.
