Hamden, Connecticut native, Priscilla Jankans is the serial entrepreneur providing medical support to further the fight against the COVID-19 global pandemic. With her business coaching/consulting agency, NurseproCEO, the entrepreneur doesn’t just boost the healthcare system but also the economy.
Priscilla Jankans started her journey when she became the youngest registered nurse in her graduating class at 20 years old. A year later, she was an Open Heart Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse at one of the country’s largest and most prestigious hospitals.
Despite her occupation, Priscilla realized that she needed more income to further her studies and fund her travels. That was when she cleared her path to the world of business.
In 2014, Priscilla decided to try out her entrepreneurial prowess and started a clothing boutique in Culver City. The shop was a success, and, having received a generous offer, Priscilla Jankans locked the boutique’s doors and sold the key.
While her bank account grew significantly, Priscilla Jankans found herself at crossroads finding her pocket to be as heavy as her heart. She wanted to do something. Finally, with a masterplan and unfaltering belief in her capabilities, Priscilla left her six-figure job and sought out greener, happier pastures.
In 2016, she saw an opportunity to address growing healthcare problems that stemmed from staff shortages. She founded the L.A. Nursing Services, a traveling medical staffing agency, which made rounds in hospitals nationwide. Four years later, Priscilla Jankans has grown her staff to host 240 competent doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and other medical staff.
The medical staffing agency helped Priscilla set the foundation for her empire, and had her opening doors for more opportunities to provide medical solutions. The buzz on L.A. Nursing Services inspired Priscilla to branch out, and in 2019, she founded the esteemed and popular NurseproCEO.
On NurseproCEO, Priscilla Jankans speaks about entrepreneurship and the importance of creating a profitable business. She narrates how she could make six-figures a year from her starting capital of 750 dollars, motivating starting and aspiring entrepreneurs.
The purpose of NurseproCEO’s platform was to tell Priscilla Jankans’s story and inspire others to start theirs. No one would have known that this purpose would grow more prominent in light of the COVID-19 health crisis.
With the pandemic raging outdoors, countless people are out of work and struggle to find a sustainable way to have food on the table. NurseproCEO is designed to do just that and, attracting thousands of subscribers, records an outstanding 85% growth during the first few months of the crisis.
Under Priscilla Jenkens, the agency has flourished, providing business development training and strategic coaching for emerging and established business owners. Coupled with L.A. Nursing Services, Priscilla has helped an ocean of people get richer – in finances, relationships, and, most importantly, in health.
Aside from her successful agencies especially designed to bridge gaps in the healthcare system and boost the economy under the health crisis, Priscilla Jankans also started Nurses for George. Nurses for George is a non-profit organization fueled by the mission to dismantle systemic racism in healthcare. It offers free services to the underserved communities within Los Angeles County.
