Anxiety and the crippling weight of expectations are among the common plagues that nag society today. These plagues have led to countless lives lost and abandoned dreams. Determined to stop the count and increase the inspiration, award-winning motivational speaker, student advocate, and success coach Brad Butler II is on the move.
Brad Butler II is the CEO and founder of Brad Butler II & Associates LLC, a company well-known for its optimistic impact on its community. Looking at the work that Brad has done now and the praises singing in his wake, it understandably takes a lot to reconcile this former football star with the image of a struggling child.
Before the award-winning speaker decorated his portfolio with plaques, he spent many of his younger years fighting to overcome adversity.
As a child, Brad was exposed to endless criticism and negativity. His parents’ substance abuse defined his home life, and in school, he had a hard time catching up. With his grades going south and his living environment not quite ideal, Brad Butler II found solace in the one thing that saved his younger self – sports.
Finding a friend in football, it didn’t take long before Brad began gaining a reputation as the family’s little athlete. His moments on the field inspired the nickname “B-Rad,” which he carried through most of his childhood.
However, this bright green patch of his life soon dried to yellow when his parents decided to go their separate ways. At only eight years old, Brad once again struggled to find his footing. Moving to East Windsor, the young athlete found himself placed in Special Ed classes.
It was a challenging time, but Brad kept his chin up and his head in the game. In the ten years he spent in Special Ed, he continued doing the one thing that gave him peace. He played football.
Through the sport, Brad Butler II built muscle, gained stamina, and equipped himself with the traits of a leader. Taking his love for football to college, Brad slowly developed an optimistic outlook, which inspired enthusiasm for life in the people around him.
With his brilliant athletic career and academic success in university, Brad is now beyond proud to say that he has graduated from Mercer County Community College with his associates in Fine Arts and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Kean University.
As detailed in the first few chapters of his latest book “Pain, Passion, Purpose,” Brad Butler II discovered a passion for speaking soon after graduation. He started his brand, “B-Rad Inspires,” then set off to fulfill his newfound dream.
Over the past five years, B-Rad Inspires has visited countless schools and has played an indispensable role in increasing graduation rates for students and athletes. Seeing how football talent helped him overcome challenges and score touchdowns in life, Brad Butler II is determined to encourage individuals to explore their gifts and confidently stride into all the doors life has left open for them.
Brad’s work as B-Rad Inspires has given him national recognition as one of the country’s best student-athlete motivational speakers. His inspirational talks and natural charm has proven successful in keeping the youth engaged and enthusiastic about their future.
Imparting his very own motto: “Make your next day, your best day,” the award-winning student advocate has made cameo appearances in dozens of today’s success stories. It would come as no surprise if Brad were to appear in more following the publication of his latest book “Pain, Passion, Purpose.”
