Popular New Jersey Alcoholic Beverage Company Jerzey Jungle Collaborates with Bodybuilders and Fitness Icons to Expand Reach

Fitness and alcohol do not usually go hand in hand. But Jerzey Jungle LLC found a way to tap into the fitness industry and become the official alcoholic jungle juice craze for bodybuilders and gym rats.

Jerzey Jungle Juice is currently New Jersey’s most popular alcoholic beverage. The company has recently teamed up with famous bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts, expanding its audience further. Jerzey Jungle is a bottled version of the all-time favorite college drink called “Jungle Juice.” It is made with grain alcohol, gluten-free, and infused with delicious fruit punch flavor. The company also revealed that they have many more flavors in the works. Jerzey Jungle is currently distributed across 75 retail locations throughout New Jersey, but it eyes expansion into national retail outlets.

Jerzey Jungle was founded by Tim Gillen. With his strong background in the alcoholic beverage industry and nightlife in New Jersey, Gillen was able to revolutionize the party culture, especially among college kids. The CEO also has a strong passion for working out and the fitness industry. Eventually, he realized that both industries are not that far apart from each other. He noticed the same faces he sees daily in the gym are the same people going to see him at the bars drinking his drink. “What I found out was, the same people trying to look good in the gym are the same ones partying on the weekends.”

“We’re so much more than just an alcoholic beverage,” said the founder and CEO. “It’s becoming a lifestyle,” Gillen added.

Furthermore, Gillen shared that Jerzey Jungle uses creative and controversial marketing slogans to tap into the fitness industry. They have marketed the alcoholic beverage with the taglines “I’m On The Juice” and “On A Juice Cleanse,” proudly showcased on their merchandise. “We are always trying to change the game and hit markets from a different angle,” said Gillen. The strategy successfully captivated bodybuilders and the fitness community, including professional coach and bodybuilder Jhakeem Jones, also known as Gym J Jones, and IFBB Pro bodybuilder Charlie Williams also known as Chuck Kitty.

Both Gym J Jones and Chuck Kitty have supported Jerzey Jungle from the beginning. Together with Gillen and other fitness icons, they are known among the nightlife and gym scene as “The Juice Squad.” Both Gym J Jones and Chuck Kitty have supported Jerzey Jungle Juice from the beginning and are Gillen’s real life good friends.

Asked what motivated him to build Jerzey Jungle, Gillen shared that he wanted to do something different and unique that could potentially redefine the nightlife and party culture of his community. “I wanted to challenge myself,” the CEO added. “I love having full creative control to do whatever I want, and I have the team that can really bring my wild and crazy ideas to life. I love collaborating and working with other local Jersey businesses and industries I’m passionate about. I created this in my basement, and watching it come to life has really been a dream come true,” Gillen explained further.

In five years, Jerzey Jungle aims to expand its operations nationwide and create a wider line of juice flavors to tap into more markets. Instead of using promo girls like most alcohol companies at bars and clubs, Gillen will use larger than life bodybuilders Jones and Williams as walking billboards to rep the brand. “Every guy and girl in the place wants to take a picture with these guys, it’s unique and amazing marketing.”
