Any sport that requires strenuous activities is teeming with injuries. Even the most well-seasoned expert is not immune to falling to injuries. These injuries are sometimes very grave that puts people out of commission for several days, months, or even years.
Preventing these injuries is possible, and no one should have to stop their promising careers in sports after an unfortunate accident.
Kimana NeilStong empathizes deeply with the people who are hindered from doing physical activities due to injuries. He decided to create Athletic Performance and Injury Prevention for Martial Arts (APIP Martial Arts), where he aims to arm people with knowledge to make their bodies more injury-resistant.
An expert in the field when it comes to flexibility and movement, Kimana graduated at the top of his class with a Master’s degree in Exercise Science at Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus. He is also a Certified Nutrition Coach and a Certified Personal Trainer, with specialties in Corrective Exercise, Youth Exercise, and Athletic Sport Performance. Kimana further specializes in plyometrics for jumping and flexibility, which all martial artists seemed interested in, within the performance enhancement realm of athletics.
Why is there a focus on martial arts? Because Kimana himself is a martial artist, being a 3rd-degree black belter in TaeKwonDo. He has around eight years of experience in the arts.
With his university education, specializations, practical experience, and a passion for movement that cannot be quenched, Kimana is more than equipped to bring martial artists and others to their fitness and health goals through APIP Martial Arts.
There are Nutrition Coaching, Fitness Training, and Nutrition and Fitness are the only training programs made available by the company. Kimana does online coaching for people who need guidance and motivation to become more flexible, obtain higher jumps, lose body fat, and gain muscle and strength.
Offering his first-ever flexibility product, it targets the hamstrings and adductors for people to kick higher and do splits without warming up. The product is a three-month program, where trainees can access information that is not common in the traditional martial arts world along with other important tips about flexibility. Martial artists are not the only ones who can benefit from the program, but other people who are hoping to improve their flexibility as well.
Aside from the program, there are also one-off purchases of nutrition and training plans that people can buy once and use it to coach themselves. Kimana is planning to create more products in the future, and this time focused on martial artists who want to be able to perform high jumps as Kimana can.
Kimana firmly believes that everyone who is involved in vigorous activities and sport should be able to perform actions, like high kicks and splits, without the threat of injuring themselves. Traditional martial arts practices and ideologies are often outdated and do not have the knowledge and expertise that is present within Kimana through his titles and certifications.
By becoming aware of the best practices for their bodies, people can achieve their full potential and longevity in their respective fields.Visit the APIP Martial Arts Instagram page for more information.
