Ever since making quite the impression back in early 2021, NFTs or non-fungible tokens have been stirring up the digital market with their distinct and quirky features that are sure to attract people who frequent the metaverse. As the market for NFTs continues to grow at a rather alarming rate, plenty of enthusiastically determined brands are ready to showcase to the public their very own NFT projects that they believe would modernize the NFT market—at least that is what the developers behind the Driver Ape Racing Club are intent on doing.
The Driver Ape Racing Club, also referred to as DARC, is an NFT project that consists of 7,777 High Utility NFT Apes. A distinct collection of ape-like creatures that are wholly into the exciting idea of racing and cars, these NFTs are ready to transform the face of the metaverse. Despite adapting the physical characteristics of apes, a relatively standard design in the realm of non-fungible tokens, the Driver Apes are far more than just another collection of Apes.
Referred to as saviors of the planet in their very own elaborate backstory, these supposed extra-terrestrial apes originate from a small planet a few light-years away from Earth called “The Silver Lightning,” known for their wild car races and festivals. As their planet experiences an energy crisis that has thoroughly devastated their ecosystem, the 7,777 Driver Apes who have received the power of the Silver Lightning have established a Racing Club to give hope to the planet’s remaining inhabitants and were then sent to planet Earth for a secret mission, giving birth to DARC.
DARC is the world’s first-ever high utility NFT that gives its NFT holders access to the most prestigious real-life car races; as such, DARC is also the first racing club on the metaverse that offers unlimited access to unique events to its members, such as Karting tournaments, a profoundly engaging encounter in the racing world, and so much more.
“To join DARC is to be part of the most exclusive racing club,” the developers explain. “It is to be part of a revolutionary project that plans to connect car enthusiasts with events in the physical world and on the metaverse in the future.”
The collection’s founders were inspired by their love of the saga “Planet of the Apes” and the clothing brand Bape, recalling that their choice of using Apes for their project was relatively intuitive. In addition to their great roadmap, their marketing strategy targets real and existing groups in the NFT community. The project is predicated on partnering with ten of the most prominent car groups and car influencers from all over the globe, giving them the confidence to stick with their option of having apes.
As their extensive roadmap would indicate, the developers are aiming to stay in the NFT sphere for the long term, aspiring to become a significant brand both in the racing world and the metaverse, as well as be able to host their annual real-life events and have the ability to buy some land on the metaverse where they can launch their crazy races inside.
The project is set to launch within the year and will be available for minting on their website. Head to its official website to learn more about the Driver Ape Racing Club and its plans.
