The digital era has ushered in a wave of trends that continue to grow daily. Technological advancement has not only allowed creative minds to come up with a cash alternative but also give us ownership over the modern definition of art. As a result, NFTs or Non-Fungible Tokens have been on the rise in 2021, with many visionaries joining the trend. Among the new wave of art is Klepto Bears.
The NFTs are a collection of sleek, stylized pieces of art that bring holders and viewers’ eyes to focus on pattern and texture. The 2D Klepto Bears bring nostalgia and represent modern-day life, layered on treasures of our past. They are designed with peaceful backgrounds that guide people to the character’s eyes, the shapes that stay the same, and shift people towards representation.
Set for its official launch on October 10, 2021, Klepto Bears are the embodiment of our juvenile years that can trigger nostalgia among holders. Developed by project owner Amber Marie, Klepto Bears have the power to connect holders to their childhood and offer them the important chance to reconcile them with their memories. The NFTs tell a story with each texture and intricate line-work with rare assets from iconic films, comics, games, and pop culture that allow the holder’s imagination to run free.
Born in Denver, Colorado, Amber always had a powerful urge to express herself through the visual arts, carrying a pen and paper to illustrate everything manifested in her head. From translating her dreams to imitating still life in the house, Amber carried her passion to school, where she excelled in art. After finishing high school, nobody second-guessed which course she would pursue. However, her desire to grow as an artist was stunted by the pretentious environment of the university. Eager to break free and color her life, Amber dropped out and moved to Las Vegas, giving her the inspiration that she needed. She started to expand her horizon, doing makeup and body art in the photography industry.
Although she had found her footing in the body art industry, Amber and the community were put on hold when the pandemic came about. Eager to stay relevant, she found herself in the graffiti mansion, meeting Arman Izadi and Danny Lorden, who immediately saw her potential in the graffiti world. The duo taught her how to empty spray cans to breathe life into walls and other surfaces. With this new discipline, Amber decided to carry her knowledge to a new platform, giving birth to the Klepto Bear NFT. Additionally, Arman donated $100,000 towards the Klepto Bear Loot Boxes to further the project and bring Amber closer to realizing her dream.
The sponsorship and support that Amber and the Klepto Bear Club are getting is just one example of the belief and trust that the Graffiti Mansion is giving. They hope to bring more creatives from the art community to join the NFT community.
