Todd Mueske is an experienced Brain Power Wellness (BPW) Teacher Leader who recently retired from the Oneida Nation School System in Green Bay, WI. The role of a Brain Power Teacher Leader entails on-going support for the student leadership program, using BPW as a model for the students and other teachers and finding creative ways for the program to be used school-wide.

Todd recently shared how his affiliation with Brain Power Wellness has transformed not only his personal well-being but his approach to teaching and interacting with students. His experience offers valuable insight into how the program supports educators and students alike and promotes an enduring sense of community. According to Todd and several Brain Power Wellness reviews, the program profoundly impacts all sectors of a school community -including students, their families, teachers, and school administrators at all levels.

One of the most significant changes Todd noticed shortly after beginning his Brain Power Wellness training was a marked improvement in his mental clarity and focus. Through the mindfulness practices and strategies he learned, he found himself better equipped to handle the stresses that often accompany a career in education. He also discovered that these techniques helped him stay present and make decisions from a more grounded state of mind, not solely in his professional life but in his personal one as well. “It wasn’t just about managing my teaching workload,” he shared, “it was about finding a balance, being able to approach each day with a clear mind.” This increased focus allowed him to handle his responsibilities more efficiently while maintaining his mental and emotional well-being.

Beyond personal gains, Todd reflected in his Brain Power Wellness review on the sense of community that the program fostered among educators. He highlighted the importance of group activities, which encouraged teachers to connect and collaborate with each other in supportive ways. “What I appreciate most about Brain Power Wellness is that it offers the opportunity to work with one’s peers in a way that isn’t competitive but instead challenges everyone to grow together,” he explained, adding that this camaraderie created stronger bonds between staff members, which in turn led to a more positive and united school environment and culture.

However, the most rewarding aspect of Todd’s use of the BPW program was his witnessing of the transformation in his students. He described how activities like karaoke, fitness challenges, and team exercises encourage students to step outside of their comfort zones. “Watching the kids blossom as they tried new things and took on challenges they would have previously avoided—it was incredible to see,” he shared. Students not only gained confidence but also developed a stronger sense of self-worth, which carried over into their academic performance and social interactions. These experiences gave him a new perspective on how a program focused on mindfulness and emotional intelligence can impact a school’s overall culture. A myriad of other Brain Power Wellness reviews highlight similar transformations in students, educators, and the community as a whole.

When asked what he would say to any schools that are considering a partnership with Brain Power Wellness, Todd said, “Get ready for a life-changing experience, not just for the students but for the whole school community.” He pointed out that the benefits extend far beyond academic achievement, offering help to students and staff alike in managing stress, frustration, boredom, burnout, and related negative emotions. Praising the program’s transformative powers, he added, “It really increases how good you feel about yourself, by building up self-esteem and emotional resilience in everyone who participates.”
