“No matter the age, race, or gender, music has an undeniable power that can bring people together”
The singer remarks when we interviewed him recently! “The music industry is one of the toughest but if you work hard and know that sometimes you will be up and other times you will be able to survive in this jungle. I have had to work hard to maintain my career and I am afraid of nothing but mediocrity”
Although the industry has continued to change over the years, the influence of music remains. In the United States, Mexican singer, actor, and songwriter Santiago Garza, also known as Pegaso, has been creating music that brings people from all walks of life to set aside their differences and dance.
Santiago Garza has already established himself in the music industry, amassing thirty-five years of experience in the music scene under the stage name Pegaso. His works include hits like Besame En La Boca, Hagamos El Amor, and a crossover to the United States and Europe with Rough produced by Adam Mavooi and Tony Choy 2x grammy nominee and filmed by the multi Emmy winner Orlando Adriani. His new single “Rough” portrays a different Pegaso with the International Israeli model appearance, Eliad Cohen
Pegaso is known to have a peculiar singing style, making him a memorable artist to new listeners. His songs convey many feelings and carry a unique charm that, coupled with his composition, touches the heart of many people. Pegaso fuses his singing with a deep house sound.
The veteran musician started his career at a young age when he won a role in the Musical Fantasy contest at eight years old. The competition was a singing & dancing program that aired through the television network, Televisa. The opportunity would see Santiago Gaza participate in several television commercials for the General Motors car brand. He would later study singing under three teachers who all played an essential part in his vocal growth.
While other young talents would retire early, Santiago Garza loved performing. At twenty years old, he led a fashion and social section in the Magazine 40 program with Veronica del Castillo. Santiago would later be invited to participate in a short film called Mesa Para Dos, opening the door to the entertainment industry.
As an artist, Santiago has already released three albums and eleven singles. The track “Kiss Me in the Mouth” and “He is Not Better Than Me” were written by the legendary Latin Grammy winner Fabian Farhat. Santiago’s discography includes hits like Cielito Lindo, I Have a Lot to Learn From You, Love Is in The Air, and two versions of La Cadenita from the famous Band La Sonora Dinamita. The latter of which has an original Latin version and an electronic remix.
From there, Santiago would integrate more Latin pop into his musical style. He would later collaborate in 2013 to create Fede & Tiago. Together, the pair would produce six singles in Electro Pop Merengue and Tintes De Rumba Flamenca, with their first single Begging for Love. A year later, the duo had a worldwide release with a tribute song for Gloria Estafan titled “Make My Heart Go.” By 2015, Santiago would be incorporated as distinguished voter member of the Latin Grammys, where their music is already gaining strength.
Santiago Garza is set to release his single, Rough, soon. Rough is Santiago’s first song recorded entirely in English, made with the influence of deep house music.
His actually preparing a concert, which will be held in Miami, will have in attendance guest stars such as the Queen of Cumbia, Marianna Seoane, who is also one of the Mexican’s television most beautiful faces. Also making a guest appearance is the talented artist Maya Karuna, a singer and DJ, well known for her powerful vocals in the music industry and her record hits with the Calo group.
