Currently working for the top real estate company Compass, Adnan has racked up numerous accomplishments over the years, all of which were earned through hard work and skill. Among the top one percent of the 1.7 million licensed real estate agents in the United States, he holds the title of a “5-Star Best” agent in the well-renowned marketplace Zillow. Apart from a portfolio peppered with praises for his competence, he also holds an impressive track record that includes making over $50 million in sales in the year 2021.
The position that Adnan is enjoying now wasn’t handed to him on a silver platter – he had to work hard for it. As the son of immigrants who escaped Bosnia during the Yugoslav wars and fled to the United States in the bid to secure a safer life for their children, he grew up intimately privy to the challenges that life has to offer.
“I remember my parents only getting three hours of sleep a night because of how many different jobs they were working just to keep our family afloat,” shared the respected real estate agent and public speaker. “Their struggles showed me the difference between living and surviving, and I promised myself that I would create a future that would be better for all of us one day.”
Needless to say, the journey toward that future was nowhere near easy. He had to contend with financial hardships, along with exclaims of disbelief from people who did not believe he could make it. In the face of these difficulties, he persevered and embraced the very same values that make him an effective realtor.
“I think that growing up with a chip on my shoulder and experiencing what it’s like to live through oppression and poverty primed me in a way that others who were more privileged could not have been,” he said. “It all comes back to my parents. I knew that if they could manage to create a comfortable life for my family after all they had struggled through, I could do anything I set my mind to.”
Despite the long string of achievements under his belt, Adnan shows no sign of slowing down. Right now, he’s juggling his time between inspiring dreamers from all walks of life through motivational speaking engagements and mentorships and providing quality services to real estate clients. In the years to come, he hopes to intensify his efforts and expand his reach by creating DedicationX, a multi-platform business whose name is inspired by a play on words that uses his own surname and dedication.
