Derek Dillon: An Authority Figure in Brand Marketing and Merchandising

In the business world these days, entrepreneurs keep coming up with ingenious ways to keep up with marketing trends while maintaining a connection with their customers and target audience. In the middle of those marketing dynamics is Derek Dillon, who is a typical entrepreneur with a twist. Derek Dillon co-owns Kleaver Klothing, a horror lifestyle brand and merchandise company with Spencer Charnas, a singer with the popular band Ice Nine Kills. They have built Kleaver Klothing to a level where it has a cult following and an enthusiastic customer base that looks forward to each of the company’s design releases.

Kleaver Klothing has an official website where it conducts all its business of selling fashion-forward pieces of clothing with a dark twist. Kleaver Klothing releases new merchandise every 27th day of the month, which it has aptly named “The 27 Club.” On this day, every month, a new sinister collection is released on “The 27 Club” website right after a short horror movie telling the story behind the design has also been released to the public.

Derek is also the frontman of a new band named “Dead Things,” which has not started performing or going on tours just yet until the middle of 2021. Kleaver Klothing has been operating since 2011, making breathtaking merchandise and clothing. In 2020, the brand delved into screen printing, which gave birth to Kleaver INK, a part of the company dedicated to helping aspiring brands and businesses create the highest-quality custom-printed merchandise that is not available anywhere else. Derek and Spencer’s goal for Kleaver INK is to go beyond just printing cloth and T-shirts. They intend to make it a full-service brand that prints merchandise and helps sell them. Kleaver INK offers services like merchandise design, screen printing, embroidery, and Shopify building.

Derek Dillon sees his brand as a unique entity that delivers a service that many other brands cannot meet up with. “There aren’t many brands that do what we do when it comes to the amount of content and merchandise we can produce. Making everything from T-shirts and shoes to household items like cutting boards and coffee,” Dillon explains.

Derek and Spencer have both pulled resources over the years and taught everything they know about merchandising and branding to anyone or any band interested in creating and selling merchandise. The good part about these two business partners is that they do not charge expensive coaching fees nor sell any webinars.

A resident of Los Angeles, California, Derek also runs a real estate investment company called Dillon Realty Group. And while he seems to be doing well on the business front, Derek Dillon is taking his music seriously by forming his new band called “Dead Things” and hopefully conquering new grounds.
