Among many stalwarts doing exceedingly well in their fields, we couldn’t help but notice the massive contributions made by Dr. Marjan Assefi in healthcare and science, focusing on nanotechnology, neuroscience, and medicine. She is a renowned senior lecturer, Medical Science Liaison, podcaster, and CEO of the Marie Curie Science Research Center. She is an accomplished author and editor, a poster judge twice at AAAs from 2021, and an international speaker.

Hello, Dr. Marjan Assefi. Can you tell us about your book, “A Path to Inner Heaven,” and its impact on your career?
A Path to Inner Heaven delves into the intricate connections between health, science, and personal well-being. It is a book on spirituality, leading readers on their path to inner heaven. The book’s success has opened multiple doors for me to reach a broader audience and share my passion and knowledge about well-being and spirituality, in addition to scientific research and healthcare innovation.
What inspired you to pursue a nanotechnology, neuroscience, and medicine career?
My fascination with the human body and its many complexities drove me to explore these fields. I believe nanotechnology, neuroscience, and medicine are at the forefront of scientific innovation, paving the way for improved health outcomes. Through my YouTube channel, I teach people about these fields, how to do research, and how to publish their papers, with the aim of bridging the gap between advanced scientific research and practical healthcare solutions.
What are your objectives as the CEO of Marie Curie Research Center?
We focus on pioneering research in nanotechnology, neuroscience, and medicine. Our primary objective is to do research in diverse areas of expertise, such as science, medicine, the economy, healthcare, and global issues, helping professors, students, and scientists to create a more significant impact on their future.
How do you stand apart in teaching research and publication?
One of my greatest passions is teaching research and publication to my students and peers. I emphasize a hands-on approach, guiding them through everything, from formulating hypotheses to conducting experiments and analyzing data. I stress the importance of clear and concise writing when publishing papers. My goal is to equip scientists, professors, and students with the skills they need to contribute meaningfully to the scientific world.
What advice would you give to aspiring researchers and scientists?
Remain curious and never stop learning. Research can seem challenging, but the rewards of innovation and discovery make the journey worthwhile.
