Glenn Petriello Teaches the Art of Tasting Chocolate to Fellow Enthusiasts through Chocotastery

When we talk about chocolate educators and sommeliers who know that their education on chocolate and guidance on tasting chocolate have created a unique impact on chocolate consumers, Glenn Petriello (of Chocotastery) is the man to meet. Glenn possesses the required knowledge, skill, and experience to lead the most fun and educational virtual chocolate tastings for the general public.

Glenn Petriello is the owner and founder of Chocotastery. He is a chocolate sommelier with several years of experience in crafting chocolate confections, making his own bean to bar chocolate, and making chocolate for Indi Chocolate in Seattle, WA. Glenn is a graduate of chocolate and cacao-focused classes from Ecole Chocolat, Fine Cacao, and Chocolate Institute, and the Institute of Culinary Education.

According to Glenn, he has been in love with chocolate right from the time he was young. And his passion for chocolate peaked in 2009 when he decided to start learning how to make chocolate truffles. He learned the “bean to bar” process in 2015, creating his “bean to bar” operation in his first apartment in Hoboken, NJ. Subsequently, he was asked to be the head chocolate maker at a friend’s chocolate company in Seattle, WA. After about seven months, he moved back to NJ. With all of his experience as a chocolatier, chocolate maker, and chocolate educator, he has only one goal in mind: to share his passion, knowledge, and experience with all those who love chocolate. Thus, Chocotastery was born.

His company Chocotastery is the number one destination for chocolate education and tasting experiences. They offer their customers an opportunity to deepen their appreciation, love, and enjoyment for craft chocolate.

When Glenn Petriello started Chocotastery, he wanted to utilize his experience, teach dozens of chocolate lovers and enthusiasts how to mindfully taste chocolate, share his passion and knowledge, and allow his customers to discover a whole new world of chocolate they never knew existed.

Chocotastery stands out from the rest because they bring freshness and other memorable chocolate tasting experiences. According to Glenn, they organize virtual chocolate events during which customers will learn about where chocolate comes from, how it is made, and where they can participate in a guided chocolate tasting showcasing four different craft chocolate makers and craft chocolate from four different cacao producing origins around the world. “We are also committed to helping advance the livelihood of cacao farmers in cacao producing origins around the world and donate a portion of proceeds from all of our chocolate events to help this cause,” he explained.

Glenn sees Chocotastery being synonymous with learning about chocolate and premier virtual chocolate tasting experiences in five years. According to him, over the next few years, the team at Chocotastery will be traveling to cacao producing origins and, from those experiences, will be able to create new experiences for our chocolate consumer base to not only  learn more about those cacao producing countries but also support the farmers in those regions. They will also taste chocolate from those origins and further increase their love and awareness of craft chocolate.
