Keith Ross Nelson: Still Making People Laugh 3 Decades On

People often say that laughter is the best medicine. Young or old, it always feels good to find a reason to laugh and enjoy. As with all forms of art, comedy can draw inspiration from many places. Comedians most often draw inspiration from everyday life and their experiences. The best comedians are people who can take the ordinary and turn it into a funny situation. Keith Ross Nelson has been a comedian for over three decades, and he is a master of making people laugh.

For over thirty years, Keith Ross Nelson has been working as a comedian and an actor. He has traveled to all 50 states in America and all over the world to share his act. He has performed in various comedy clubs, colleges, and cruise ships. Keith has even provided entertainment for U.S. troops on bases across the globe. Keith has been featured in New York Weekly, LA Wire, Entertainment Monthly, and the LA Times.

Keith Ross Nelson has seen it all. He believes that his years of experience gives him a different perspective from other comedians. Keith likes to play with his experiences in his stand-up act. But even as his material centers on aging, he makes sure to present it in a young and cool way. “People comment it’s like watching a cool old dad do stand-up,” Keith shares. He is very skilled at presenting his material in a way that all people can relate to. He has developed the knack for witty commentary on everyday occurrences and seemingly mundane things with his advanced years. “I genuinely enjoy using my talent to put smiles on people’s faces,” Keith shares.

Aside from nurturing his talent for comedy, Keith Ross Nelson also lives a very active life. He was a record holder for Master High Jump from 2000 to 2007. He was also a three-time National Championship winner in high jumping. Currently, Keith is also a black belt in Kung Fu.

Keith Ross Nelson hopes to be an example for everyone who might be apprehensive about aging. “It’s a part of life. And that shouldn’t stop anyone from making the most of their life,” Keith says. He wants to inspire others to keep trying and never give up. “At 45 years old, I broke a record in track. Keith recently became a third degree balck belt in Kung Fu. Age is nothing to be afraid of. At the beginning of old, I believe laughter keeps us young.”For more information on Keith Ross Nelson, you may visit this page. Keith can be found on Instagram (@Keithrossnelson).
