Every person has a different view and definition of success. For most, it is achieving financial prosperity and establishing generational wealth for their families. However, there are also those with more altruistic goals and aim to create a lasting and significant impact on their communities. One such inspiring individual is entertainment executive Jaime Peralta.
The outstanding professional has been in the film and television scene for almost 30 years. He first started as the Personal Executive Assistant of Robert Evans, who was the President of Paramount Pictures and a legendary film producer. From there, he expanded his horizons and has been all over the industry. In fact, he stood as the executive producer for a couple of television shows, Undercover and Road 2 Remembrance, and is the co-producer for an upcoming short, Addicted to You. In addition, he is the manager of Selena’s brother, A.B. Quintanilla III, who is a rising music artist.
Aside from taking on vital roles behind the camera, Jaime Peralta has also dabbled in acting, appearing in various films and TV shows such as Champions, The Big Lebowski, Carnival of Souls, Sorority Boys, Boston Public and Grey’s Anatomy: Under Pressure. With such a stellar track record, he has undoubtedly solidified his reputation as an authority in the entertainment industry.
As someone with such extensive experience, Jaime Peralta astutely observed that there continues to be a vast underrepresentation of minorities and people of color such as himself, even in recent years where the subject of inclusion and diversity has been heavily championed by many. Being Latino and Lebanese, he wants to advocate for his own community and change the heavily whitewashed entertainment scene.
On top of that, he is keen on bridging this massive disconnect and showing audiences the extraordinary talent, skills, and potential people of color possess. After all, he is a testament that minorities are more than capable and deserving of achieving success in the film and TV sector. “I want to break barriers and want to be a representation of Latinos and the minority. I want my story to be an inspiration to others. If I can do it, you can,” he said.
To fulfill this vision, the intuitive entrepreneur leverages his position as the Executive Vice President of Development and Production at PANGAEA Studios, previously AREU BROS. Studios. The Atlanta-based organization is the first Latino-owned and operated film and television studio in the area and is known for being a full-service entertainment brand.
Through the company, the professional has connected with countless minorities, especially Latinos, who want to be represented by an established and renowned enterprise such as PANGAEA Studios.
When he is not busy with his work and advocacies, Jaime is a dedicated family man living in Hawaii, Los Angeles, and Georgia. Despite his busy schedule and the need to travel around often, he remains a doting father to his five adorable kids. He excellently manages his time, striking the perfect work-life balance.
As he continues his crusade, Jaime Peralta hopes to inspire others to join him in championing representation in the entertainment industry.
