Social media has been buzzing with the latest news about Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song’s first child. It definitely came as a massive surprise as both parties have been incredibly mum about their private romantic life. Alas, the floodgates have been opened, and along with it a beautiful baby boy who goes by the name of Dakota Song Culkin, in honor of the late Dakota Culkin, Macaulay’s sister who tragically died in 2008.
The couple originally began as child actors in the Hollywood industry before becoming adults and intertwining fates in Seth Green’s Changeland in 2017. This was the very first time that Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song have been romantically linked, and since then, the couple hasn’t looked back.
While Macaulay and Brenda have been together for over three years now, the couple has been very private when it comes to their relationship. Apart from a few casual outings and photos on social media, not much has been relatively known about their romance.
In 2018, the couple moved in together, with Brenda gushing to Esquire, “You can’t be around him and not be happy. People don’t realize how incredibly kind and loyal and sweet and smart he is. Truly what makes Mack so special is that he is so unapologetically Mack. He knows who he is, and he’s 100 percent okay with that. And that, to me, is an incredibly sexy quality. He’s worked really hard to be the person he is.”
Their romantic tale has spanned over three years, and the pair said that they were overjoyed with the news that their baby has finally arrived. Despite just now sharing the news, Dakota Song Culkin was actually born on April 5 in Los Angeles, but now that the cat’s out of the bag, the entire world is ready to welcome him with open arms.
In a recent statement made by Macaulay Culkin’s representative Michelle Bega to USA TODAY, she had confirmed the news, citing that “Mother, father, and baby are all healthy and happy.”
Macaulay Culkin has had a fruitful career in Hollywood, appearing as the breakout star of the blockbuster comedy film “Home Alone” where he played Kevin McCallister, the iconic, trap-setting, thief-beating eight-year-old kid who finds himself stuck at home with two burglars. Now, that eight-year-old boy wonder has grown to become a father at the age of 40.
In 2020, Culkin also appeared in the tenth season of American Horror Story, rejuvenating his career in a sort of renaissance that only Macaulay Culkin could ever pull off. Now that he’s a father, things are looking to be even better than expected for the famous actor. Alongside his beautiful partner, Brenda Song, and his equally beautiful son, Dakota Song Culkin, the family is ready to take on the world, proving to them that little Kevin McCallister has grown up and there’s absolutely no way that he’s going to be home alone anymore.
