New Fairfield, CT – Adam R. Vohra, a 37-year-old entrepreneur and philanthropist, is making headlines in the world of non-profit fundraising and events management with his company, ARV Enterprises LLC. Hailing from the picturesque suburb of New Fairfield, CT, Adam’s journey is as remarkable as it is inspiring.
Born on May 13, 1986, Adam’s roots trace back to a rich blend of cultures. His mother, of Persian Jewish descent, and his Indian father met at Temple University in Philadelphia, where they began their journey together. Growing up alongside his older sister Amber, Adam’s childhood was marked by love and familial support despite some profound revelations that would shape his future.
One pivotal moment in Adam’s life occurred when he was 12 years old. Alongside his sister, aged 13, they learned they were adopted. This discovery had a profound impact on Adam’s sense of identity and belonging. The story behind his adoption is one of compassion and resilience. Adam’s parents traveled to India and found him in a hospital in Bombay (now Mumbai), where he was battling sickness and malnutrition. Determined to provide him with a better life, they brought him to the United States, where he received the medical attention he urgently needed.
Despite the love of his adoptive family, Adam wrestled with feelings of abandonment and struggled with substance abuse throughout his adult life. However, his journey to recovery ignited a passion for helping others. Now, with 19 months of sobriety under his belt, Adam has channeled his experiences into a mission to support charitable foundations in their fundraising efforts.
In August 2022, Adam founded ARV Enterprises LLC, a consulting business specializing in non-profit fundraising and events management. Unlike his competitors, Adam’s approach is deeply personal and hands-on. Leveraging his extensive network across Fairfield and Westchester Counties, as well as the NYC Metro area, Adam provides tailored solutions to his clients, ensuring meaningful interactions and impactful outcomes.
“I ask myself how each cause personally impacts me,” Adam shares. “It’s not just about raising funds; it’s about making a difference in the lives of others.”
Adam’s dedication to philanthropy extends beyond his business endeavors. Currently serving as the Director of Advancement for the Carlos Rodón Foundation, founded by Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodón and his wife Ashley, Adam is spearheading the Willow Grant initiative. This flagship campaign aims to raise awareness and financial support for families on their fertility journey, embodying Adam’s commitment to meaningful causes.
Moreover, Adam’s involvement with the Inservice Foundation earned him the prestigious Life Transformation Award in October 2023, further cementing his reputation as a force for positive change.
Adam commented about his connection with this project. “This cause resonated deeply with me because my late mother had issues with infertility back in the 80’s when science wasn’t where it is now, and I learned after she passed how it affected her mentally before finding and falling in love with me and my sister.”
With a busy schedule ahead, Adam is gearing up for several speaking engagements, including the A to B Con in Stamford, Connecticut, and an event hosted by the Inservice Foundation in Miami, FL. Additionally, he is eagerly anticipating the inaugural gala for the Carlos Rodón Foundation, The Willow Gala, scheduled for September 30th, 2024.
As Adam continues to pave the way in the world of philanthropy, his journey stands as a testament to the transformative power of resilience and compassion. Through ARV Enterprises LLC and his unwavering commitment to giving back, Adam R. Vohra is leaving an indelible mark on his community and beyond.
