As early autumn arrives, the fields in Guojigou Village, Huamachi Town, Yanchi County, Ningxia, China, are filled with vibrant green and red peppers, like a canvas painted with bold strokes by nature. Local villagers are busy in the fields, dancing with peppers and working alongside them. Their “Pepper Symphony” for rural revitalization is now playing its autumn tune, and the joy of an anticipated harvest is already visible on the faces of the pepper farmers. On August 26, the State Grid Yanchi Electric Power Supply Company sent service personnel to visit the farmers, inquire about their electricity usage, and conduct inspections of the motor well lines and electrical equipment. This ensures the safe and healthy operation of the lines and equipment, safeguarding every effort the farmers put into their harvest season.
In recent years, the scale of crop planting bases in Huamachi Town, Yanchi County, Ningxia, has been continuously expanding, with crop yields increasing year by year, resulting in a growing demand for electricity. To meet the production electricity needs of the farmers, the State Grid Yanchi Electric Power Supply Company has adhered to its mission of “serving agriculture, serving rural areas, and serving farmers.” The company organized personnel to proactively connect with villages and towns to fully understand the electricity needs of the farmers and respond quickly, ensuring that agricultural production is not affected by insufficient electricity.
Based on the newly constructed 35 kV Xingchi substation and the extension of three 10 kV lines, the company has carried out targeted reinforcement of the distribution network, including the construction of 12 new distribution transformers in 2024, with a total capacity of 4800 kVA. A green channel has also been opened for irrigation users’ electrical connections. Additionally, the company has strengthened the inspection and maintenance of power supply lines, dispatching technical personnel to conduct “check-ups” on irrigation electrical equipment and promptly eliminating various electrical hazards to ensure a safe and stable electricity supply for irrigation.
Through these solid power guarantees and considerate agricultural support services, the farmers in Yanchi County can focus on farming during the harvest season without being troubled by electricity issues, giving wings to increased production and rural revitalization.
With the flourishing development of the pepper industry, electricity supply has become a crucial part of agricultural production.
