Founding a business empire can be challenging. The journey becomes even more demanding if you don’t have enough start-up capital to fund the project. However, it’s even more difficult if you’re a woman venturing into business. This was the same story for Mini Mani Moo® Beauty, a beauty empire blowing up worldwide.
Mini Mani Moo® Beauty is based in New York. Andreina Landis, the CEO, co-founded the empire with Mark Landis, COO. To start any company, you require enough capital. Andreina narrates how she funded her idea with only $50 in 2014. At 25, she wanted to create a beauty brand based on core values and no animal testing. However, this was an idea, and funds, among other things, were required to put the concept into practice.
In 2014, with $50, she created Mess No More!®, a pink latex liquid tape for nail art. The product immediately went viral and brought the brand many clients. The following product was Gel No More!™, a multi-million dollar product. Gel no More!™ removes gel polish without using acetone. As the brand began to build its foundation of clients, it developed over 350 best-selling products. In December 2022, Andreina launched her newest venture and expanded her empire into Mini Mani Moo® Beauty, which offers complete luxury skincare lines for men, Toro Cosmeceuticals™, and women, Ms. Moo™.
One fantastic thing about Mini Mani Moo® Beauty is that all its products are developed and curated in the Mediterranean. “We wanted to create luxury, affordable skincare products that are cruelty-free, vegan, and free of parabens and sulfates,” notes Andreina. Another additional feature of the products is their feature of being environmentally friendly. The products are packaged in glass containers, not plastic, to reduce pollution. Andreina notes, “We minimize plastic, opting instead for our heavy stylish glass bottles.”
Mini Mani Moo® Beauty is one of the few young, Latin, female-owned beauty brands. Numerous products from Mini Mani Moo® Beauty have acquired an international market. The products sell in tons of retail stores, including Sally Beauty, Nordstrom, HSN, and hundreds of other stores and salons across the USA. Apart from the USA, the products have been sold in big retailers in Canada, Mexico, Chile, Peru, the UK, France, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Hong Kong. Another amazing feature of Mini Mani Moo® Beauty is that it offers worldwide delivery.
However, being a smaller company means it encounters challenges in its business execution. Some challenges include working capital to fuel growth and managing inventory and logistics. Every day is an opportunity to learn and become better. “Disrupt things and shake up the industry. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you can’t do it. Figure out your plan and strategy to get there,” says Andreina.
The company’s goals include developing an inspirational reality show. In addition, Mini Mani Moo® Beauty is focused on expanding further into the international market. The company’s biggest markets are the US, UK, Canada, EU, Australia, and Mexico. The company owns its trademark in those countries and recently in Japan, with Tokyo on the list. “Dubai is also on our list, as well as the rest of Southeast Asia,” notes Andreina Landis.
