Science&Humans (S&H), a consumer-centric digital platform focused on hormone health treatments, is soaring to new heights – both literally and metaphorically – to elevate Menopause awareness in the summer of 2023.
This year, the summer of 2023 is already being dubbed the “Summer of Women.” With record-breaking sports viewership and concerts that have significantly contributed to the economy, women have been at the forefront of entertainment and societal change. As the calendar turns to fall, S&H is determined to carry this wave of support for women forward, especially since October marks Menopause Awareness Month. Their approach is a unique blend of advocacy and adrenaline.
Under the banner “Jump for Menopause,” S&H is organizing teams of fearless female skydivers to take flight at various dropzones across North America. The symbolism behind these breathtaking dives is that Menopause should not be viewed as a pause in a woman’s life; rather, it’s a transformative chapter full of vitality and possibilities. The campaign’s goal is to eradicate the stigma surrounding Menopause, encourage open conversations about the experiences and symptoms, and motivate women to explore treatment options and seek support.
Remarkably, half of women today consider Menopause a “taboo” topic, and many feel ill-prepared for a phase that can last almost a decade. In Canada, it is estimated that one-quarter of the 19-million-strong workforce is composed of women over the age of 40. A staggering 10% of these women are compelled to leave their jobs due to debilitating menopausal symptoms. In the United States, more than one million women experience Menopause each year, and it’s projected that by 2025, there will be approximately 1.1 billion postmenopausal women worldwide.
The urgent need for greater awareness and the elimination of the stigma surrounding Menopause is more apparent than ever. This is precisely why S&H is committed to presenting a more positive outlook on the subject, emphasizing proactive treatment and preventive measures.
The “Jump for Menopause” campaign will commence at Skydive Spaceland in Clewiston, Florida. The campaign’s adventurous spirit will then take flight at other drop zones in Sebastian, Florida, and will further extend to locations such as Niagara Falls and Toronto, Ontario, with more destinations yet to be announced. To contribute to further research and advocate for women, S&H has chosen the Women’s Health Collective Canada (WHCC) as the recipient of all contributions. These contributions will be sourced from both corporate sponsorships and individual donations. The response from individuals who have already pledged their support has been nothing short of inspiring, and S&H is enthusiastic about the campaign’s ability to reach an even broader audience.
For anyone looking to support “Jump for Menopause” on social media, the official campaign hashtags are #jumpformenopause, #menopauseawarenessmonth, #science&humans, #menopause, #menopausesupport, #menopausehealth, #womenshealth, and #hormonehealth.
More detailed information about the campaign can be found here, while additional information about Science & Humans can be accessed here. Through this campaign, S&H is determined to raise awareness, shatter the taboo, and empower women to embrace Menopause with confidence and renewed vitality.
To extend its mission further, S&H plans to collaborate with renowned experts and healthcare professionals to develop educational resources, including webinars, articles, and support groups, aimed at demystifying Menopause and providing women with the information they need to navigate this significant life transition with grace and empowerment.
The overarching goal of Science&Humans is to revolutionize the conversation around Menopause by transforming it into a period of opportunity and growth, empowering women to take charge of their hormone health and overall well-being. In a world where silence and stigma have overshadowed the experiences of countless women, the “Jump for Menopause” campaign serves as a bold, symbolic leap toward change, progress, and liberation.
