For people who are about the fame life, nothing ever seems big enough to stop them from chasing their dreams and living that life. John Patrick Harkins IV has had a lifelong dream to be a rap music star, and at 23 years old, the dream seems to be getting clearer. A native of Summit, New Jersey, John was known as a Lacrosse player in high school, and his face-off ability made him highly sought-after. He has always put his mind and heart into the things he’s passionate about, which made it a little surprising when he decided to take his music seriously after his 22nd birthday.

John Patrick has an effortless appeal with his looks, and his good voice is an asset that he knows will help his music gain some traction. Combining those with his work ethic, John has shown nothing but optimism that his music career will kick off in the right direction. He released his first rap song recently while having many others ready for release as well.

John Patrick Harkins IV has described his love for music as the only thing that keeps him happy, and being able to create music gives him happiness. “I want to take music as a job as that would mean the world to me. I changed some things in my life just so I can focus on the things that truly matter and achieve my goals,” he explains. In November, he checked into Sierra Tucson Rehab in Arizona for marijuana addiction. He completed his program successfully, and he’s been clean for more than 30 days. “I do not plan to ever going back to Marijuana as it was making me very unproductive in my life,” he says.

Over the years, John has worked at one minimum wage job or the other. He has never minded as long as it gave him what he needed to get through the day and pursue his dreams. His determination and will to succeed are his biggest driving forces, and he hopes to fuel them by staying consistent and putting in the work. In 2011, Patrick attended an acting camp at the New York Film Academy, where he studied acting. He watched many successful movie stars work daily and showcase their talents. John learned a lot from them and garnered all the information he would need to foray into acting if he ever has to.

John Patrick Harkins IV targets everyone who loves hip-hop and rap music, regardless of age, race, and tribe. He also hopes to leverage his looks and voice to rise to the top of the rap game. “I am very determined to make it to the top of the rap game and have my picture and name known by everyone around the world. I hope the dream comes to pass, and I intend to do everything it takes to get there, unlike most rappers.”
