Leesa Rowland is speaking publicly about a personal UFO sighting she experienced during a mountain excursion in Argentina, describing both unusual aerial phenomena and a profound internal shift in awareness that occurred during the encounter.
Rowland, an actress, producer, author, and philanthropist who divides her time between New York City, the Hamptons, and Palm Beach, says the experience took place while she was on a guided mountain excursion with a group of five people and a local guide.
According to Rowland, the group had spent time stargazing earlier in the evening before participating in a guided meditation session in a remote mountain setting. She says the combination of stillness and environment preceded what she describes as an extraordinary visual and emotional experience.

Q: Can you describe the moment you first saw the object in Argentina?
“There were five of us with a guide on the mountain that evening. Earlier that evening, we spent about an hour stargazing. Later, he led us to another area on the mountain where he asked us to lie down, hold hands, and meditate together for about 45 minutes. Suddenly, the lights appeared and moved directly toward us, then pulled back, then came toward us again. The lights seemed to dance across the sky in a way I had never seen before. We were all completely stunned.”
Q: What were you doing right before the experience occurred?
“We had been stargazing earlier, and then we went through a guided meditation together. It was very calm and intentional before the sighting happened.”
Q: How would you describe what you physically saw in the sky?
“What I saw were bright lights moving in a way that didn’t resemble anything I had personally seen before. The movement seemed intentional and responsive.”
Q: At what point did you begin to feel a ‘presence’ in addition to the sighting?
“Almost immediately. The moment the lights appeared, I felt an unmistakable shift within myself. It felt as though my awareness had expanded.”
Q: How would you personally describe that feeling or connection?
“The feeling was one of overwhelming love, peace, and euphoria. It was unlike anything I had experienced before.”
Q: Did the experience feel emotional, physical, or both?
“It felt like both. Emotionally, it was deeply moving. Physically, I felt energized and uplifted.”
Q: Were you able to remain calm in the moment, or was it overwhelming?
“I was surprisingly calm. I think the meditation beforehand helped. It was awe rather than fear.”
Q: Did anyone else witness the same event with you?
“Yes. I was there with a guide and four other people, and we all witnessed the lights together.”
Q: How has this experience changed your understanding of UFOs?
“It completely opened my mind. It encouraged me to think more deeply about consciousness and perception. I found it fascinating how many people I spoke with shared similar perspectives about awareness and openness in relation to these experiences.”
Q: What do you think people misunderstand most about experiences like this?
“I think many people dismiss these experiences without exploring them. There are many credible people who have had things happen that they cannot explain. I think the conversation deserves curiosity rather than ridicule.”
