Due to globalization and internet platforms, it has become easy for people to get their hands on clothes sold across the world. But even though there exists an endless list of designers, only a few manage to stand out.
With time, getting noticed and sustaining a business has become even more difficult for designers since the customers want value for money. Due to the economic crisis the world is facing, people no longer have money to waste and, in fact, refuse to accept mediocre designs.
Amidst the emergence of these trends and new demands by the customers, a brand that has managed to retain its following is Noctex. The popularity of the trademark is reliant on the fact that its assortment is always fresh and unique. Designer Negin Izad is the brains behind the brand that offers stunning outfits with innovative cuts and silhouettes. And the best part is that the designs are handmade and created from deadstock textiles. As far as deadstock material is concerned, it refers to leftover fabric often set aside by a fashion brand or textile mill. Before companies like Noctex, factories would waste such material instead of recycling the cloth productively.
Originally based in Vancouver, Canada, with a second headquarters in California, the revolutionary fashion store is known for introducing unique designs revolving around themes of growth and change. The contemporary yet distinctive design approach is dependent on how Negin Izad views the world and what she believes people want to dress up.
Negin started designing clothes when she turned 14. She used to visit Iran during the summer, and it was there that she learned most of her skills from her aunt, who was a dressmaker. Her aunt taught her all about mixing patterns, and Negin started designing outfits that were a creative amalgamation of metal, punk, and the alternative scene. Her goal then was to create dresses that helped her stand out from the rest. By the time Negin turned 18, she had mastered the art of eccentric fashion. When she finally established Noctex, the idea was to provide people with comfortable and sustainable clothing items. “I wanted to make clothes that revolved around people’s daily lives, not events or special occasions,” shares Negin, adding that there should be a touch of rawness.
Currently, Noctex sells everything from tops and dresses to patches, stickers, boots, cruelty-free cosmetics, nail polish, and jewelry. The latest designs by Noctex include some unique long dresses that are chic yet comfy. Every piece by the brand has a touch of Goth, which is fused well with a feminine and delicate element. Sounds like a confusing combination? Well, this unique style is what makes every collection by Noctex out of this world.
Apart from dresses, the label has its line of denim, jackets, funky leggings, and sexy swimwear. Moreover, quite recently, Noctex launched a Halloween collection that included super cute socks, some dramatic nail colors, and lipsticks, as well as creative enamel pins that were an instant hit and sold out quickly. “I can say that I have met customers from all walks of life, but I will always have a soft spot to design for the customer that wants that grungy utilitarian look,” says Negin. “Our customers describe our style as the ‘grown-up goth’.”
Explaining the style she aims for, Negin reveals, “I understand everyone wants to look cool, but you also have a job and need to have something to wear to that formal event. I picture our customers a lot like myself and people who work at Noctex,” she continues. “They are not dressing for Instagram or influencer pictures, they are dressing for real life, and real life is busy and messy.”
Are you looking for outfits that are mind-blowing yet comfy? If yes, look no further than Noctex! Not only will the articles by the trending clothing brand make you look out-class, but you will also be playing a role in supporting sustainable fashion. Like Negin Izad says, “Wear something that gets you excited.”
Seeing all that Noctex has to offer, we really are excited!
