Original Goose Country, an Outerwear Powerhouse Born From Dedication and Perseverance

At the top of several industries are powerhouses that were once aspirants with nothing in their pockets. These go-getters held onto the American dream and went all-out in translating their visions into reality. Armed with a clear picture of a future of success and the determination to overcome whatever odds may stand in their way, they barrelled through numerous barriers and now stand at the helm of widely acclaimed ventures. Harsimran Bhatia, the mind behind Original Goose Country, is one such figure, and today, the ways she has built a fast-growing company and climbed from rock bottom are sending across a powerful message of hope to others.

The Original Goose Country founder is an immigrant from India who, along with her husband, poured everything into opening a stand in a small retail store. With the help of a friend, they were able to expand, selling clothing and jewelry as well as leather garments during the ’90s upon seeing the craze for the latter. In the course of a few years, the power duo was able to transform their venture into one of the largest independent leather garment manufacturers on the East coast, with their products being sold in department stores nationwide.

However, due to unforeseen circumstances, including that of Harvinder Bhatia suffering a stroke, the company that they managed to grow into a multi-million industry leader went bankrupt. Abruptly forced to start from scratch, they climbed their way up again, eventually launching a business that would take root in 18 locations. In 2008, the economic recession hit, and the inspirational icon was once again left adrift when her brainchild collapsed. Through it all, she persevered, and in 2018, she brought in the help of her soon, Deep Bhatia and his friend Rico Hundo, to introduce to the market a new initiative—Original Goose Country.

Currently rising through the ranks, Original Goose Country is a premium outerwear brand that specializes in providing luxury garments. It is led by a team made up of passion-driven individuals who have served the entertainment and sports industry since the ’80s. Best-known for delivering high-quality products at affordable prices, this reputable establishment is on track to dominating the outerwear market.

Apart from its top-notch inventory of offerings, which includes the iconic chevron V-bomber style clothing that was a staple of the ’80s culture, the Original Goose Country has earned recognition for allowing customers to present their distinguished stature to the public and expressing themselves through fashion. Additionally, by creating a limited production run of its garments, it enables customers to develop and take pride in a style that is unique to them.

Original Goose Country made waves in the market shortly after its establishment. Two months after its launch, its sales amounted to over $900,000. Since then, it has worked with the hottest celebrities, boasting a long list of personalities who have worn its brand, from Fabulous, Tory Lanez, Snoop Dog, and Casanova to Adam Maverick, Supreme Patty, Stevie J, and Young Thug, to name a few.

On top of taking center within the clothing industry, Original Goose Country is also making a difference, giving back to communities through its numerous food drives and social initiatives. It has not only partnered with Bernice Burgos and Lil Uzi to distribute school supplies as well as host basketball tournaments but has also collaborated with Adrain Broner to feed the homeless.

In the coming years, Original Goose Country is bound to reach greater heights. With plans to take over a large share of the $10 billion outerwear market, it will go the extra mile to secure a standing at the summit of the industry.
