For most of Mehran’s life, football has played a significant role not only as a hobby, passion, or interest but also as his actual career. At a young age, he explored football as an athlete until a knee injury put his football dream on a halt. Unable to pursue the sport as a player in the field, he opted to venture into coaching at only 22 years old. Over the years, Mehran Rowshan has worked alongside 10,000 players and designed over 300 unique football drills.
Mehran’s long-standing legacy in the sport is not one without an interesting history. In fact, his grandfather was one of the founding members of one of the biggest football clubs in Asia—the Esteghlal Tehran Football Club, more popularly known as TaJ. Mehran Rowshan is also the nephew of the famous Iranian football star Hassan Rowshan, who is deemed as a national sporting hero after winning the Asian Cup three times in the ’70s and for being the only Iranian player scoring for Iran in the Asian Cup, World Cup, and the Olympics.
Like his grandfather and uncle, Mehran Rowshan continues to carry forward their family’s football legacy today. He is a multiple-F.A.-qualified coach known best for his unique training methods and ethically driven initiatives in the football landscape. He believes in out-of-the-box training, including football psychology, to match analysis. Throughout his career as a coach, he has incorporated expressive developmental methods that are designed to help aspiring football talents grow into exceptional athletes.
