Kevin Rios on a Successful Acting Career and Making an Impact in Communities

New York City has always been a city of dreams but living that life requires the dreamer to put in the work to bring their dreams to life. Moving from Mexico to New York City for Kevin Ramirez Rios is not where the buck stops but rather the beginning. The talented actor has used all the opportunities presented to him to build a flourishing acting career, establishing him as one of the most versatile and talented stage performers in New York’s entertainment scene.

Kevin Ramirez Rios’s high praise amongst fans and audiences does not come at a cheap cost. It has taken years of proving himself and putting in quality work on every project. His versatility is the highlight of his career, as he has multiple roles in various plays and has embodied a wide range of characters over the last few years.

The New York City-based actor started his acting journey at Casazul Conservatory in Mexico City before he moved to New York City and continued his journey at the Stella Adler Studio. This gave him a new home and provided all the opportunities he needed to thrive, including his first shot in two Shakespearean plays and consequently propelled him to the professional stages in New York, where Kevin is now a crowd favorite.

Kevin’s theatre debut had him star as Claudio and Pompey in the Shakespearean comedic play, “Measure for Measure.” Then, he got called up again to perform as Peter, Friar Jhon, Watchmen and Benvolio in the famous play “Romeo & Juliet.” From that point, Kevin’s rise has been meteoric, showing no signs of slowing down. His other roles since his breakout roles include Cheche in the critically acclaimed Pulitzer-winning play, “Anna in the Tropics,” the lead role of Mr. Forbes in ”The Wreck at the 5:25,” Lewis Clark in ”The Chicken that Crossed the Road” and Sir Geoffrey Transom in ”The Open Door.” “Anna in the Tropics” remains his most successful performance, having sold out every show and broke Box Office Records in Westbury, New  York.

Outside acting, he’s part of the theatre company, “Always Love Lucy,” founded by Saima Huq, which takes free theatre to the community of Trenton, New Jersey community and offers free shows at the Trenton Public Library. His goal is to take the culture theatre to a new audience and make it readily available to them so they can fully appreciate the art.

For Kevin Rios, developing himself as a person and professionally are the two most important things to him. He sticks to a healthy lifestyle and continues to learn new acting methods while writing new stories for his future projects. He’s also passionate about connecting with people and doing his part to create enabling environments in the world.

Currently, Kevin Rios is working on a project which he wrote and is in postproduction. It is a psychological thriller in which he plays two different characters, and he hopes when the work makes it to the public, he gets the usual reception from his audience and fans.
