Red Dragon Tattoo’s owner, Manny Almonte, is an exceptional tattoo artist who takes great pride in creating stunning and unique designs. Originally from the Dominican Republic, he moved to the United States at 16 years old where he began to pursue his passion for art and design. Manny’s self-taught journey into tattooing started 19 years ago, and he has since become one of the most sought-after tattoo artists in New York.
Fast forward nearly two decades and Manny has had many amazing accomplishments, including a 5-page spread in Urban Ink Magazine, a laundry list of celebrity clients, and a collaboration with the Bruckner bar art show called In the Skin, where he exhibited a collection of paintings from different artists.
Manny’s impressive career hasn’t come this far without obstacles as he had to overcome barriers to reach a broader audience and establish his name in the industry. Nevertheless, his hard work, discipline, determination, great heart, and open-mindedness helped him become a well-known tattoo artist.
Manny has dreams of collaborating with Yomico Moreno, Stefano Alcantara, and Nikko Hurtado, who are all renowned tattoo artists in the industry. We have no doubt that his path will lead him there someday.
