How Carmelo Rodriguez Overcame One of the Biggest Battles of His Life

Life coach, Army veteran, and motivational speaker Carmelo Rodriguez has experienced many conflicts on the battlefield, but little did he know that one of the biggest battles he would face was one against a defective system affecting countless lives in America today. What was supposed to be a hero’s welcome after surviving a combat tour in Iraq turned into a life-changing nightmare. The Veteran Affairs (VA) office declared him dead, and the battle to prove he was alive lasted for two agonizing years.

Having to go against a broken government system proved to be more arduous than his experience in combat and even his traumatic experience as a child who was neglected. Carmelo Rodriguez realized that in order to win, he had to use all his training from the military and as a law enforcer. His overwhelming success sparked a new kind of hope among numerous other veterans who suffer from the same plight. After his phenomenal win, he made it his personal mission to step up for others who are cast aside and treated unjustly.

That season of his life also opened another door for him to explore the unlimited possibilities involved in being a crisis specialist. On behalf of others, he analyzes the mindset and lifestyle goals required to win a case, supplies the necessary knowledge, and promotes awareness of self-destructive actions to help his clients create a formidable action plan, achieve focus, and burning motivation.

“I am a survivor of childhood neglect. I am also a combat veteran,” Carmelo Rodriguez shared. “I know what it is like to be in situations that require me to act on my own on behalf of others, in which case I am the one responsible for the outcome, whatever it may be. I am a protector. After sorting out my own situation with the VA, I received a lot of requests for help from others across a spectrum of industries. I decided to formalize all that I learned in a way that would be accessible to others,” he added.

Carmelo Rodriguez finished a master’s degree in business administration and has received various certifications in crisis management, negotiation, and conflict management, among others. He has written six books, one of which is his impactful memoir titled Dead Soldier: A Story of the Living. His memoir narrates in detail the many challenges he faced while fighting to recover his identity. All across America today, more than 4,000 veterans are fighting for the same battle, and Rodriguez is standing side by side with them to get their lives back.

Determined to make it his lifelong commitment to helping others in areas where he is exceptionally good, Carmelo Rodriguez sees himself expanding his services across several regions around the world. In the next five years, he envisions himself having a strong, hardworking, and passionate team of like-minded individuals who also share his deepest passions in life. Traveling will be one of several things he sees himself doing and speaking full-time to global companies and organizations who need his extraordinary services.

By sharing his life story to bigger audiences in the future, Carmelo Rodriguez aspires to give them inspiration and hope that no matter what adversities they may be going through in life, they are only temporary. In time, they, too, will find the answers to their dilemma, and Rodriguez would want nothing more than to be instrumental in helping them feel empowered to fight their battles, overcome their circumstances, and pursue victory. For him, fighting for one’s life means having to push through a hopeless situation until resilience and abundance reveal themselves.
