Every destination has a journey, and the same goes for every success story. The story behind Tim Da Jeweler is one with different layers of steps, but for Tim Long, the founder, it’s all a process toward his intended destination, which is to be one of the foremost jewelers in the United States and the world. Tim Long got into the jewelry business by buying earrings from eBay and selling them to other people as a side business. After a while, Tim began to research the jewelry market and immerse himself into learning how to design and produce custom-made jewelry for his clients.
Today, he has established his brand as one of the most talented jewelers in the Bay Area of California. With mistakes and learning on the job along the line, his first business, TSV Jewelers, came to life. He ran TSV Jewelers as an online jewelry business that catered to customers virtually. It was a huge success, and Tim began to look at other areas for expansion. He acquired some jewelry design knowledge and delved right into it. He went from just a jewelry seller to a designer, and soon enough, his unique designs flooded the market and gained some traction. “The little success that I saw wasn’t enough for me. I was motivated to learn more, and I did,” he says.
With his jewelry design business taking shape, Tim Long took his design lessons and practiced more seriously. He rebranded and renamed his company Tim Da Jeweler, which has taken the industry by storm. Since the rebranding, TSV has remained the brand that sells jewelry, while Tim Da Jeweler is the sister-brand for custom-designed jewelry. He has also opened an appointment-only showroom for Tim Da Jeweler’s clients. Tim Long has found a way to maintain impeccable service delivery to serve his clients and contribute to society.
Tim Long Jr. has evolved with his brand as a businessman and learned from mistakes. He has also been quoted as saying that one thing he wished he did before he launched his business was spending more time taking business lessons. “Nobody told me these things, but I’m here to tell aspiring entrepreneurs today to learn about business properly before going into business,” he says. Tim Da Jeweler is on a mission to take over the entire Bay Area and California.
On his plans for the next few years, Tim says he intends to incorporate more art into his designs. “The ultimate goal is to expand my customer base as much as possible. I’m willing to do all it takes to attract the right customers, and if we have to be more artistic, that is exactly what we will be.” Tim says. As he embarks on this mission to reshape the jewelry industry and market, he hopes to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs, especially aspiring jewelry designers.
