Dr. LaFarra Young-Gaylor realized that she was part of the latter group once she realized pink, itchy eyes and loss of her eyelashes was due to ingredients in mascara and the lash extensions she was wearing just as she began searching for a replacement of her eye beauty regimen. She founded LaFarra & Company to help herself and as many women as possible fix an age-long problem and help them get their confidence back. 

Dr. LaFarra Young-Gaylor is a physician and a long-time autoimmune thriver. She is the founder of LaFarra & Company, a skincare production company committed to helping transform the beauty industry with safe, chic products for confident and busy women.  Dr. LaFarra is an African American, triple-boarded physician, CEO and a proponent of avoiding skin sensitivities and irritation reactions with organic and natural products.

“As a working single mom to young children, I wanted a convenient way to “wake up my face,” which was also safe to use on my sensitive skin. I wanted lashes that looked like my own natural lashes without being the flimsy lashes that sometimes came off midconversation as some others have experienced, and I just didn’t see many other options. I created my line of luxury lashes and skincare products that had the woman with sensitivities in mind.” 

LaFarra & Company is committed to its mission to transform the beauty industry with safe products made from natural ingredients that are also high-performing for the woman on-the-go. “Looking natural doesn’t mean looking plain,” the CEO, Dr. LaFarra remarked, and avoiding skin reactions does not translate to completely avoiding beauty products.
